Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Arts organizes Clarinets On Stage Netherlands 

On Saturday the 26th of March, Fontys Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA) organizes a clarinet day: CLARINETonSTAGE. An instructive day on which you, as an individual clarinetist or as an ensemble, can actively participate in rehearsals, attend an open rehearsal of the clarinet choirs of the conservatory of Ghent/Tilburg and Versailles and take part in masterclasses. The day will be concluded with a closing concert 

The initiative for this clarinet day was taken by Eddy Vanoosthuyse, clarinet teacher at Fontys AMPA and the Conservatory of Ghent and founder of Clarinet on Stage. Clarinet on Stage organizes several projects every year in which both students and amateur clarinetists can participate. 

On 26 March, Fontys AMPA in Tilburg will be the stage for a Dutch Clarinet on Stage, but with an international character. Clarinet ensembles from the conservatories of Versailles and Ghent will come over to do open rehearsals and in addition students from these ensembles will follow lessons from various guest teachers. Besides Eddy Vanoosthuyse and Henri Bok, Juan Ferrer (solo clarinetist Galicia Orchestra), Anne Boeykens (solo clarinetist Brussels Philharmonic), Marc Kerchof, (former soloist bass clarinet at the Belgian Guides) and Philippe Cuper (clarinet solo orchestra Opera de Paris) will come to Tilburg.  

But this day is not only set up for students of the mentioned conservatories, but is open to any individual clarinetist or ensemble. For the amount of €30,- per person you can participate in Clarinet on Stage Netherlands.

What we offer you:

·       Rehearsal with a clarinet ensemble conducted by Eddy Vanoosthuyse or Philippe Cuper or

·       Visiting and/or participating in open rehearsals and/or lessons student ensembles 

·       The possibility of having your choir conducted by one of the guest teachers for a rehearsal

·       Closing concert 

·       Lunch, coffee and tea 

The day will be repeated on March 27 at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent.
